Free presentations and activities

In Person or Virtual

Picture
I'm delighted to present to groups about the all-consuming enjoyment of the writing and/or research processes. These free presentations are customized to the audience, whether a book club with three members or an auditorium full of students. Museums, libraries, club luncheons, schools, and community centers are common venues.

For each book sold at an event, I donate $1 to the host non-profit.

About my presentations:

~ Jeanne Moran presented to the eighth graders. She did a phenomenal presentation on character development. The students not only learned how to create characters that were appealing to the reader, but also fell in love with Jeanne’s book, Risking Exposure. We have three copies and students are still on a waiting list for her book!

- Jeanne Moran is not only a supremely talented author but a presenter and teacher as well.  During our Readers Meeting Writers program, she was able to pass on her enthusiasm for reading and writing to 600 students in a school-wide assembly. She not only made her experience of writing and researching her novel relatable to the students through a PowerPoint presentation, but she engaged the audience with a group activity. It was incredible!
During the after school-discussion component of the project, Jeanne and 26 students discussed and engaged in activities on topics including the Holocaust, how propaganda works, and what it feels like to be an insider vs. outsider. Jeanne received probably the highest compliment from her students when they lined up to get a selfie with her! Her book and presentations definitely enhance school curriculum on the Holocaust and WW 2 Germany.
